2022 is set to go out with a bang on the Oregon Coast as 20+ foot waves are predicted to roll in starting on Monday December 26th, 2022. If you are planning on visiting the beaches, be careful.

There are currently gale and storm warnings up and down the Oregon coast from December 26th, 2022 to Tuesday December 27th, 2022. NOAA (National Oceanic And Atmospheric Administration) says waves are projected to be as high as 25 feet, and wind will be up to 50 knots.

Storm watching can be a fun activity, as long as you are doing it safely. Sticking to higher view points and overlooking rocky shelves for the most dramatic effect. If you plan to check out natures show on the Oregon Coast a few good options are Shore Acres by Coos Bay, and areas by Depot Bay, Yachats, Otter Point, and Port Orford.

Please Note: Storm watching is an at-your-own-risk activity.
