Blink-182’s One More Time Tour Coming To Portland

Ah, the golden era of the '90s. The era of baggy jeans, frosted tips, skater culture, and of course, the heyday of pop punk. For many of us Oregonians, that era wouldn't have been the same without the mischievous sounds of Blink-182 reverberating through our walkmans and, eventually, our early iPods.

Guess who's making a triumphant return to the City of Roses? The iconic pop-punk trio, Blink-182! These legends have penciled in Portland for their upcoming 2024 “One More Time Tour.” Can you hear the collective sighs of nostalgia from all of us '90s kids?

Emerging from the sunny streets of Poway, California, Blink-182 etched their place in pop-punk history. But did you know their fascination with the passage of time has been a recurring motif from their inception? Back in 1993, a young Tom DeLonge crooned about wishing to halt the "Earth clock" in the demo "Flyswatter." Who could forget anthems like "What's My Age Again?" and "Lemmings," where the trio's introspection about age seemed to be at odds with the youthful spirit of their music? Their discography paints the picture of a band grappling with the concept of aging in a genre where eternal youth is the name of the game.

Mark your calendars, folks! The boys are set to take the stage at the Moda Center on Saturday, July 13, 2024. The much-anticipated ticket sales will kick off for the general masses on Friday, October 27 at 10 a.m. PDT. And for those die-hard fans, the band has cooked up something even more special – VIP packages, offering unique and unforgettable fan experiences. Think backstage passes, photo ops, and maybe even a chance to ask Travis how he manages to drum with such intense energy night after night.

Speaking of the trio, Travis Barker, Tom DeLonge, and Mark Hoppus are gearing up to debut their fresh tunes from their new album, aptly named “One More Time,” during this tour. For many of us who grew up scribbling Blink-182 lyrics in the margins of our school notebooks, this is an opportunity to reconnect with the band that voiced our rebellious teen years.

But Portland isn't their only Northwest stop. The following night, Sunday, July 14, 2024, the band will be enchanting fans at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Quincy, Wash. Imagine that picturesque venue echoing with the sounds of both classic and new Blink-182!

Just this past weekend, Blink-182 made headlines as they headlined the “When We Were Young” music festival in Sin City, Las Vegas. Talk about reliving the glory days!

So, fellow Oregonians, let's get ready to travel back in time, and let's show Blink-182 just how much the Pacific Northwest has missed them. Because, let's face it, nobody likes you when you're 23... or when you miss a Blink-182 concert in 2024! See you there!
