Find Seafood, Steaks, Mexican and More at this Redmond Family Restaurant

There’s a little bit of everything at Madaline’s Grill & Steakhouse in Redmond, so no matter what you’re craving this place has you covered (there's even a sign on the wall when you walk in that reads, “We know food,” and they couldn't be more right!). This ever-popular restaurant has been family-owned and operated since 2002, by Pablo Peña who’s also the executive chef. He named the establishment after his then toddler (whose name is pronounced Mad-uh-LEE-na). Peña also owns Diego’s Spirited Kitchen in the downtown area and both restaurants have become mainstays of the Redmond dining scene.

Madaline’s is located right on Hwy 97, so you can’t miss it when driving through town. Inside, you’ll find a large dining room lined with comfy booths, tables, and a bar, but they also have a covered outdoor seating area for those fine central Oregon days when you just want to stay outside.

The restaurant is billed as a steakhouse and grill but the menu also has a lot of Mexican dishes that Peña is constantly reinventing from his frequent trips to visit family south of the border. And if that’s not enough, you’ll also find great American and Italian dishes as well! Bottom line, there’s sure to be something on the menu for everyone in your party.

The whole menu is available all day long for both lunch and dinner and even if you’re a regular, you can find something new and delicious to try. When you’re seated, you’ll first be served some of the best chips and salsa you’ve ever had. Their house salsa is just a touch spicy but it doesn't sacrifice on flavor. Even if you’re not a big fan of spice, you may just fall in love with this one, and you can even buy the house salsa to take home with you! Or, start the table off with a round of margaritas and their huge Artichoke, Spinach, Jalapeno & Crab Dip appetizer.

House specials include the Seafood Chimichanga that’s rolled in a fried flour tortilla filled with prawns, crab, lobster, and sauteed vegetables, then covered with a delicious creamy lobster sauce, or the Signature Chicken, Beef, and Shrimp fajitas. Customers also love the Enchiladas de Lobster made with two flour tortillas filled with lobster meat, scallions, onions, tomatoes, and spices then covered in a creamy sauce and topped with avocado.

Other great dinner options include the Aztec Chicken Mole made with braised skinless chicken breast in a sweet, yet spicy sauce with a hint of chocolate and served with warm tortillas, or the Seafood Penne Pasta made with a creamy garlic alfredo sauce tossed with crab, lobster, shrimp, halibut, and scallops.

Madaline’s is one of the best family restaurants in town and each time you go you’ll be greeted by friendly and informative staff. The restaurant is big, but even when they’re busy you’ll probably be seated quickly and get your food fast—they’ve got it dialed here! It’s also open late (10:00pm every night) so when most other restaurants in Redmond have shut down and your only other choices are fast food, it’s nice to have a warm and welcoming restaurant you can sit down at.
