▶️WATCH: Last Blockbuster In World Ran Ad During Super Bowl, And It Was Perfect

by | Feb 13, 2023 | Adventures

Forgive me if I'm late to the game, but somehow I missed out on this little gem while I was actually watching the Super Bowl. Multiple news agencies and blogs reported on the ad that was run by the last Blockbuster on Earth, right here in Bend, Oregon.

The ad, while not actually broadcasted on television, was streamed on their Instagram page. The ad was to also pay on a VHS tape in the store, that will then be made available to rent (yes the VHS tape) for $2 per day.

Blockbuster had been teasing the spot on Instagram in the lead-up to the 2023 Super Bowl. With a giant cockroach looming over the store in what looks to be basically the end of the world, it was actually quite perfect.

The Instagram post reads, “Is the world coming to an end or is Blockbuster releasing its first commercial in a really, really long time? Yes. See you on 2/12". Check out the commercial yourself below.
